I thought this article was an interesting look at Senator John Kerry’s proclivity for sometimes speaking in gibberish. This is not intended as a political poke or anything of the sort, just an observation and a well-written article about it.
To be fair, we’re all well aware of President Bush’s speech limitations and occasionally incomprehensible comments (“Is our children learning?”).
So the race will be between a president who sometimes goofs his grammar beyond belief and comes across as stupid, and a Senator who sometimes forgets to punctuate his comments and comes across as an incoherant rambler.
I’m sure that neither impression is accurate, but it will be interesting to see how it all factors into the race.
And, in case you’re wondering, I’ve decided to hold any endorsements for the 2004 election until after the first Bush/Kerry debate. I’m not sure just when that will be yet.
