April Fools Site: По касательной

For April Fools Day 2017, Off on a Tangent went to Russia. Since basically all the news can talk about is uncorroborated and evidence-free claims of collusion between the Russian government and the 2016 Trump presidential campaign, and since we seem to think that Russia now has some kind of out-sized influence on American politics, I figured it was time for me to move there. The web site became По касательной, the site was partially translated into the Russian language, and there were Russian flags all over the place.

Я объявляю, что этот веб-сайт переехал в Вологодскую область в Российской Федерации и теперь будет называться Скотт Брэдфорд: По касательной.

Согласно параноидальному разгулу левых коммунистов, Россия в настоящее время является преобладающим политическим влиянием в Соединенных Штатах, и поэтому этот веб-сайт необходим для того, чтобы стать инструментом пропаганды в России, с тем чтобы он мог продолжать вносить свой вклад в политические и социальные комментарии Америки.

С этого момента По касательной будет посвящена выдаче похвалы и поддержки президенту Владимиру Путину (Единая Россия), а также триумфу родины над Западом. Он будет опубликован на русском языке, хотя старый контент останется на английском языке, пока он не будет переведен.

I am announcing that this web site has moved to the Vologda Oblast in the Russian Federation, and will now be known as Скотт Брэдфорд: По касательной.

According to the paranoid ramblings of the communist left, Russia is now the predominant political influence in the United States, and so it is necessary for this web site to become a Russian propaganda tool so that it can continue to contribute to America’s political and social commentary.

From now on, По касательной will be dedicated to issuing praise and support for President Vladimir Putin (United Russia), and for the triumph of the motherland over the west. It will be published in the Russian language, although old content will remain in English until it can be translated.

I look forward to many years of patriotic service to the Russian Federation.
