I include this article, not because it’s something I find particularly noteworthy (although I am following the storm to see where it tracks when it gets up this-a-way) . . . but simply for this paragraph:

To the south, in Lee County, the sheriff’s office reported one hurricane-related death in North Fort Myers when a man in his early 20s stepped outside during the full force of the hurricane to smoke a cigarette.

Ah, yes—pure genius. “Hm, 120 miles-per-hour winds? BAH. I need to have a smoke.”
