Group Proposes Rebuilding Twin Towers

Finally, some people with some sense have gotten organized. Let’s be frank, the current official plans to rebuild the World Trade Center are only cool because they would make it the tallest building in the world.

The group discussed in this CNN.com article—Team Twin Towers—wants to do exactly what I’ve been advocating all along:

Under the group’s proposal, two towers would be erected 300 feet east of the original buildings’ “footprints.” The towers would resemble the original 110-story design on the outside, but the interior structure would be revamped to make the skyscrapers sturdier and the windows larger.

So lets quit playing around with trendy, ugly designs (like the official one) which we will likely regret in ten years. Let’s return New York’s skyline to its former glory. Let’s rebuild the towers!
